General Construction Laborer

General Construction Laborer (Part-Time → Full-Time After 90 Days)

Pay: $25 / Hour

Location: Varies (Job Locations in Eastside / Greater Seattle Area)

Schedule: 

  • Part-Time to Start (Transition to Full-Time After 90 Days)
  • Flexible Schedule Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated General Construction Laborer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone interested in building a long-term career in residential construction. No prior experience is required, though 1–3 years of related experience is preferred.


The role begins on a part-time basis with a planned transition to full-time following a successful 90-day performance period.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site preparation, demolition, cleanup, and material handling.
  • Load and unload tools, equipment, and building materials.
  • Support carpenters, installers, and project leads with tasks as assigned.
  • Perform basic framing, drywall preparation, flooring prep, and other general labor duties.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces.
  • Follow directions from supervisors.
  • Interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
  • Arrive reliably and on time, with consistent transportation to job sites.

Qualifications

Required

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors.
  • Bend, squat, twist, crawl, climb, and work above your head. 
  • Punctual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.


Preferred

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction, remodeling, carpentry, or related trades.
  • Comfort operating saws, drills, and other basic job-site tools.
  • Familiarity with residential construction materials and workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $25.00 per hour.
  • Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST).
  • Overtime paid in accordance with Washington State law.
  • Transition to full-time after 90 days based on performance and workload.
  • Career growth opportunities within a veteran-owned company.

Schedule

  • Part-time schedule initially (approximately 15–25 hours/week depending on project needs)
  • Full-time (30–40 hours/week) available upon successful completion of 90 days
